Using 10+ Xbox One Wireless Controllers at once for local multiplayer on PC?

Is it possible to use 10+ Xbox One Wireless Controllers at once for local multiplayer on PC? From what I understand, UE uses xinput, which has a limit of 4 gamepads for simultaneous use. If I want 10+ people playing a game with gamepads locally, I need to use Direct Input. However, to add another layer of complexity, I need this to also work using nDisplay. nDisplay relies on cluster events to replicate events across nodes. If I currently have 4 gamepads working using nDisplay with xinput, is it possible to have 10+ gamepads working using nDisplay with direct input? If so, is there any documentation on how to achieve this? Thank You
