Use Flipbook to Store Character Costumes?

I am using a Paper2D flipbook to store costumes + such for my character. Each frame has a different look or orientation. I set it to 0 frames per second, so it never changes. However, the blueprint function ‘Set Playback Position in Frames’, which I want to use to change the costume/orientation, only works when the flipbook is set to a playback rate. I could just constantly change the frame while the flipbook is playing at a low rate, but I would hope for a more robust solution.
