Upon Deployment, do Blueprints get translated or ported to C++ Code?

Hi Everybody.

I am doing some blueprint tutorials and I was just wondering, like when you are ready to deploy the completed Game, do they blueprints some how get
ported over to c++ code?

I wonder how that works??

It would seem like it would have to get ported over for Performance reasons right?


There is a setting in Project - Packaging:

Nativize Blueprint Assets


What does the feature do?
Generates c++ code from Blueprints
Compiles the project with the generated code (only non-editor builds)
Cooks the project with BlueprintGeneratedClasses replaced by newly generated native classes
