Unreal engine 4.24 and.. beyond?

Idk if this is the right place for this, but I keep looking up documentation on a plethora of things I need help with, and I keep seeing references to unreal engine 4.5, 4.7, 4.9…

I only have 4.24. is there a difference? Like, I’m trying to use emissive lighting to light up my world, but I keep seeing that it only works for unreal engine 4.6 and above. If I’m up to date on the version, 4.24, how is there even a 4.6 or 4.9???

Hmmm, not quite sure what you mean. You already said that it works for engine 4.x and beyond, and 6 is smaller than 24, so it if there stands 4.6, that means it works for version 4.6 and above (4.7, 4.8, 4.9, 4.10, …, 4.24)

Ok, well, I’m still having issues trying to figure out hot to make emissive material on my character to light up my level, without having to put a point light inside his head and using that as a light source
