Unreal 5.1 - Not getting trace result and overlap on Chaos geometry collections in construction graph?

Hi, I can’t get a Trace or Overlap to work with Chaos Geometry Collections in construction graphs, they do work fine for other object type. May it be supported with specific settings / options ?

Hey @L_etrange!

You need to convert your geometries to static mesh! Geometries are more of a stop-gap solution, they’re meant to be converted once modeled. They also don’t cause shadows, either!

So I would need to load the static mesh do my trace and replace the chaos geometry collection?

I’m trying to auto generate Dynamic Field Actors at trace impacts so I could just lego my Dynamic Chaos breakable around and they would be anchored automatically to the ground, other static mesh and other chaos structure, with a small kinematic state field volume create by the construction graph.

Did you figure how to do that? I would like to achieve the same result as yours.
