Unclean edge on texture

So, basically I have a cube with a texture which shows up nice and clean when I am near that object. Moving the camera away causes the texture to get an unclean edge (see screen below).

I did check the option to use higher precision UVs, but this doesn’t seem to have an influence.

Any suggestions?

This looks like a Mip-mapping issue. You can either make your own mip-chain in photoshop or similar tool or you can set your MIP-Bias in the shader to avoid it switching to the lower MIP so fast.
