We take advantage of the DataValidation plugin to validate some of our assets. I’ve added a hook in for the Changelist dialog to validate the assets IN a changelist before submission.
The problem is that if you have ExternalActor assets that aren’t currently loaded in the currently-being-edited level, then they don’t load to run validation on. (This is in some sense not different from how it was before WorldPartition - when you’d have to open the level anyway)
The WorldPartitionSubsystem can allow you to request actors and load them, but it doesn’t exist on a UWorld unless it is active(the Initialize for the UWorld specifically doesn’t do subsystems on inactive worlds)
Are there any plans to support the ability to have the partition subsystem on inactive UWorld for unit tests/validations?
