So recently i finished my base terrain i was playing around with in unreal engine 4, and when i went to start doing some real detailing, everything was pointy. It used to be nice and smooth, looked nice. Can anyone help?
I made a quick video to show people what im talking about. - ?v=JLTkTkmnubQ
What happens when you set the brush falloff to 0.5?
This aint an error. This is all about a wrong terrain scale.
Its hard to explain but the terrain hast its vertex points with a fair distance. You set these things at the beginning and your are pretty fine. Well at least i have a terrain the same size with the same topology.
You cant fix that without beginning complete from new… well at least i dont know a feature wich can retopo a terrain XD
Basically that happens when the landscape is too high in overall altitude.
