UE4 Terrain/landscape Bicubic Interpolation

I’m coming from other engines working with large terrain data sets and high resolution terrain. I was grasping the last week how UE4 deals with worldmachne imports and the quality of the meshes it produces and finally today I realized why a 4033 terrain looks blocky when the terrain has sharp changes such as erosion lines.

My question or feature request is this why not implement Bicubic interpolation on the terrain mesh as this would make a 2017 terrain look better the the 4k terrain imports and is a very reasonable implementation.
