So I was wathing NHK and noticed something very heart warming.
A former student of Tokyo University was using UE4 for his newly founded company to make medical simulations for high level operations to reduce risk and training new doctors more easily at Japan/ Tokyo.
Any software that saves people lives earns my respect. Thanks Epic…
Well, I just started a very similar work for the Italian Red Cross: a Real-Life Emergency Room Simulator - inside a VR CAVE - complete of dummy robot patient at the center of the stage. It’s very tough because I need to faithfully replicate everything in UE4: from the car crash to the exact procedure for extracting the driver, loading him into ambulance and give first aid before even arriving to the hospital. I particularly insisted on the importance of simulating also the emotional tension and stress, under they will normally operate. A hell of a job, but very glad to give young doctors the proper tools to learn saving lives.
