[UE4.24] Child Component Free Movement

Not a child component, but a non attached actor, that stays close.

I was thinking an AI will do it, but since my game is an endless runner, that kinda doesn’t seem to fit well…

Hey guys, does anyone know how to make the child component have a bit of its own free will? For instance, it does not just follow the parent wherever the parent goes. But over time, the child component will move left and right or up and down, as long as it is within the range of the view port. A prime example will be the dragonfly from the Spyro the Dragon franchise. Here is a video of how it moves:
