I have been trying to create a realistic sun for my space sim project I’m making, I have the emissive material setup, however I want it to emit actual light across the “galaxy” if possible. Attached below is my material setup and a sample of it in game. Any suggestions?
What’s stopping you from simply placing a point light at the center of the sun?
I tried, and it didn’t work. But maybe there is just a parameter of the light to adjust I’ve looked over?? I’m unsure
Didn’t work how? You need to explain what you have tried in a bit more detail. As far as I know just placing a point light in the middle of the sun mesh should work. If the sun mesh is double sided and you want to cast shadows from the light remember to turn off shadow casting on the sun itself.
