Trouble with ThirdPerson entering Vehicle

I am following along with this document:

Step 4 I change the GameMode Override, switch the Vehicle to be ThirdPersonCharacter.

I expect to be controlling the character as the default, but the sedan continues to appear instead.

What am I missing? Shouldn’t the DefaultPawnClass be switched?

I do not know this doc, but the scope of your approach has been explained in this video - YouTube

Basically, the player gets teleported outside of the view, the controls are switched to enable the sedan, in another video a dummy character is placed in the driver seat.
