Translucent material, help needed!!

I’m ripping my hair out here and its probably simple, I’ve created arch window object and textured it in SP2 with a opacity map, it’s one object and when I try to set up the shader for the translucent parts that I want, parts of the solid mesh start becoming translucent, please help.

There is no way that i know of to blend to different types of materials (translucent and opaque) so try to fix the problem with 2 meshes one with an masked material for the opaque parts and one with translucent for the glass part

Yep, what Crivatz said. If you wanna keep it all one mesh, just assign a separate material to the frame pieces and use the masked blend mode instead of translucent.
