So I created a melee attack with a sword that has a combo that does three hits and depending on which hit (Combo A Attack 1, Combo A Attack 2 or Combo A Attack 3) you stop attacking on, a different section of the montage would play to sheath the sword (Return Sword 1, Return Sword 2, Return Sword 3). At the moment, if I stop hitting on the last hit, the transition from Return Sword 3 back to the idle state is smooth. However, if I stop hitting on the first or second hit, after the sword is sheathed (via Return Sword 1 or Return Sword 2), it abruptly jumps to the idle animation. I do not think there is a difference between the different sheathing sections of the montage except for the fact that Return Sword 3 is placed at the end of the montage. That was the only difference I noted between the three. Is there a way I can make all of the sheathing sections transition nicely into the idle position?
Also, is there a way to stop a montage after setting it to play at a specific section? At the moment, if I do not re-set the montage to the end of the montage, after releasing the input button for hitting on the first hit, all 3 sheath sections of the montage will play, and if I release the input button on the second hit, Return Sword 2 and Return Sword 3 will play. Only if I release the input button on the third hit will it just play the Return Sword 3. This may sound confusing so I’ll include screenshots of what I’m saying. Thanks.
