Time Dilation Woes

I’ve been trying for what feels like days. I have a blueprint set up under the character (haven’t the foggiest how to interface between the character controller and the actual pawn actor thing so I just refer all controls through the pawn), that slows down time to “0.1” for .2 seconds- however I also have a sequence that can be triggered that I would like to have not be affected by the global time dilation change. And. I cannot for the life of me find a single thing on either these forums or the wide wide web if resources if this engine. I have set up the custom dilation that I am aware multiples by the global time, but it doesn’t work. The camera in the sequence still slows down even when corrected with an event tick node.

I’m at my wits end- can any of the elder gods of this software walk me through this?
