Linux distro i´m using is Ubutnu 17.10

Thanks, good catch. Interestingly, on the Ubuntu 17.10 I have at hand /usr/include/xlocale.h is still present (although dpkg -S /usr/include/xlocale.h is not giving any info). The file must have been left over during an incremental update.
