Superclass not found...

Man, this is getting tiring.

I decided to add a custom function for my character class, so I did what I’ve done before in other projects and added a paper character. This is going to be my base class. Without modifying the class at all, I then tried to compile.

Compile error.

1>C:/…/BaseFlipbookCharacter.h(11): error : Superclass PaperCharacter of class BaseFlipbookCharacter not found

// Fill out your copyright notice in the Description page of Project Settings.

#pragma once

#include “PaperCharacter.h”
#include “BaseFlipbookCharacter.generated.h”

/**
*
*/
UCLASS()

Why?

Why is this very basic setup just suddenely not working? I’ve done nothing differently than many times before. This is why the C++ side of Unreal just drives me up a wall.

And I do have Engine.h included in my game.h.

#pragma once
#include “Engine.h”

Thanks for any and all help.

Add “Paper2D” to your Build.cs.

PublicDependencyModuleNames.AddRange(new string] { “Core”, “CoreUObject”, “Engine”, “InputCore”, “Paper2D” });

Then refresh the project file.

This should really be automatic when adding from Unreal.
