Subsurface profile absorbing too much skylight in 4.23?

I have been working on and completed an asset in 4.22 using a subsurface profile to achieve realistic skin, however, upon upgrading to 4.23, all of my materials using the shader are incredibly washed out and the only setting that seems to effect it is the skylight.

Would love some suggestions, I’ve looked through all the documentation and found no mention of this issue anywhere.

I noticed when moving close to the models, they would fade to the correct colour. I changed the exposure settings and they are appearing correctly again. Weird I got away with it in 4.22.
