Subsurface Material Function

I would like to be able to create a layered material with a material function that uses SSS.

Is this possible using a subsurface profile model on one of the layers?
I see you can use subsurface color in your attributes, although that is causing me some issue with opacity, but I’m unsure how I could use a profile and mask it to only one layer.

As far as I can see it works, seems opacity will control the effect if set on the layer with scattering. It was just hard to notice the effect without increasing the radius on the profile.
Any further tips would be great, I will have to play around further with this.
