Strange Collision Behavior

I’m attempting to have two objects collide literally one on top of another. I need precision for this project. Both are set to block one another, and they do. The problem is, there is a space between the two objects after they have collided. I’ve attached an image. In the image you can see the space when zoomed in very closely. Both items are selected so that you can see the collisions on each. The dark gray area is the space in between them. Can someone shed some insight as to how I can have them collide more precisely?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are meshes colliding or is this based on capsule collisions? Maybe the capsule size needs some adjustment?

Thank you for your response. It is Paper2d sprite. The collision is custom and perfectly on the edge of both sprites.
