Stippling artifacts on movement (player, clouds, etc)

Hello everyone,

I am new to UE5 and I’m having some issues with the project templates. I’m not sure where to start. I’ve tried adjusting the AA fields in project settings but that usually just makes it worse.

I have an RTX 2070 GPU and an 2.6GHz Intel i7-9750H CPU. It’s my understanding that these are under the recommended spec, but I’m not entirely sure if this is the reason for these artifacts.

Surely a player with a computer like mine should be able to play my game without these issues? Or is UE5 just THAT beefy?

You can notice this artifact in two main scenarios:

  1. The clouds have a “stippling” artifact in certain areas which can be seen here:

  2. The player leaves behind an artifact when going around corners like so:

(You can see this between the character and the wall at the 0:30 mark)

There are many weird nuanced artifacts that are popping up - and my frame rate usually sits around 30 - so I’m not sure if it’s my hardware or my settings.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I don’t plan on buying a new PC for another few months but this may push me to do it sooner (though I’d prefer to have better settings for greater user reach)
