Steam Submission Found Crash on Oculus Launch but not index/vive--not sure where to begin

Hi All,

I have been working on my game for about two years and I am really excited to launch it early access.

I routinely test on Oculus at home, and sometimes open my pre-release builds from steam and play in Oculus.

I submitted my game for review on Steam and something weird happened.

*Failure: Your build has failed our review because the store page lists support for VR Headsets but this feature does not appear to currently be supported. Headset Support is selected for: - Oculus Rift After launching on the Oculus Rift the game shuts down after a few seconds. No error messages or crash dumps could be found. This issue did not occur on the HTC Vive or Valve Index.*

The only hint of a problem I can see is that if I open the game, then within the oculus headset I see a message

“you have a pending hardware issue that prevents you from opening a vr app”, but if I close that message, I’m in my game and it runs just fine.

Has anyone ever run into an issue submitting to steam and having builds crash on Oculus but not other platforms?

The fine man developing Superhockeyball saved my release at 6 am in the morning (2 am his time). I left an oculus entitlement check on–so it was working for me, but crashing for people who didn’t have the entitlement.
