Steam Sockets causing extreme packet loss.

What’s the deal with that?
I just tested my game with and without steam sockets, and the difference was night and day.
With steam sockets the packet loss was relaly high, over 10-20% easily, and I tested the non-steam sockets version with artificial packet loss and it looked exactly the same.

How do I fix this? Just dont use steam sockets? Kinda sucks…I want the ddos protection
