Steam Controller for paragon

Hi, I used to have my steam controller set up to play paragon. This was before the release of Grim.EXE(few months ago)

i tried to get back into the game again, and suddenly steam isn’t picking up that i’m playing paragon when it launches, and doesn’t recognize my steam controller. It uses my default desktop controls from my steam controller instead of the ingame control scheme i made months ago. how can i fix this?
