Static Mesh import as Volume

Hey Guys,
is there a way to import a static mesh as a volume?

I need custom shaped volumes in my project which handle overlap events in BP, the only way I found, is to import a static mesh and give it an invisible material…
But there´s a problem with the thumbnail if the invisible static mesh component is too large, I can´t see anything in it^^

If you mean setting up a mesh so it can be used as a volume of space in scene, like a collision object, you can uncheck visible in rendering and uncheck cast shadows.This way you don’t need a material and the thumbnail shows up in the browser.
