Static Mesh constantly moving along a Trace towards me in VR

So i’m making a simple VR measuring tool where i want to select 2 points with my right MC. To achieve this i calculate a Trace along the forward vector of my right MC and attach a sphere static mesh to it where the trace collides with terrain. It’s all working pretty good but now i ran into the problem, that the sphere is constantly moving towards my right hand and resets to the collisionpoint as soon as i move my MC. Any idea how i can stop the sphere from moving along the Trace towards me?
