Splitscreen Racer - Lap Number and Time of all Racers is Changed When One Player Crosses the Line

I have a splitscreen racer set up with a HUD being drawn to each character individually. The HUD is drawn perfectly and the timers start when the owning player presses SELECT on the xbox controller. Problem I’m having is when ANY character crosses the finish line to complete a lap, every character’s HUD lap number and time is changed. For example, when two people are racing, if player one crosses the finish line, both players will read LAP 2 even if the second player hasn’t crossed the line.
I followed this tutorial BP Time Attack Racer: Overview | 01 | v4.8 Tutorial Series | Unreal Engine - YouTube for the HUD but edited it to incorporate multiple characters. Everything seems to be working as intended other than the lap problem mentioned above.
