[solved] Demo version will not start

I downloaded and installed the demo version of the software of the website. The installation appeared to complete without error, but nothing happens when I try to start the application. No GUI, and no new processes in task manager. Tried running it on the command line, and it just exits.

My system is Windows 10, AMD FX8350 CPU, 32 GB, MSI GTX 980 4G
