Smaller changes gets undone when editor restarts?

Hello! I keep having this tedious issue where if make some smaller changes to some of the values in my code and compile, the values will be undone the next time I start the engine and I have to live recompile again.

For instance, I double the speed of one of my characters. Compile, and it works fine.
I shut the editor off for the night, and start the editor the next day. Now my character is back to half speed, and I have to recompile to get it back to where it should be.
Any ideas?
