Skeletal Mesh to Static Mesh - Is it possible to use the same Animation Sequence?

Hello fellow animators!

So I’ve imported a Fbx file from blender - An animated tree to be precise. It works properly and all, but as we all know add skeletal meshes through the foliage painting system.
I then tried to make a static mesh of the Skeletal Mesh, but ofc, it no longer has the animation.
So I was wondering if it is possible for the static mesh to get the same animation (I know I can use a blueprint to do some movement, but it honestly just looks dull.)
Is it at all possible and if it is, how do I do it? I honestly find it hard to believe it isn’t possible.
