Single layer water causes reflection problem with masked foliage

When the camera is looking through the leaves towards the water in the distance, the leaves will be reflected on the water surface even though the leaves are far away from the water surface. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

I had various problems with SLW and strong shadows. What I found helped was tweaking the PhaseG, ended up on .5. If you can get rid of it that way, you probably have to change all the other params afterwards, as it has quite an effect of the overall look.

Thanks for your reply, I don’t know what “PhaseG” is, could you explain it in detail? Also, have you gotten rid of this problem completely?

There are 4 pins on the SLW material node, PhaseG is one of them.

I’ve gotten rid of it enough to not be noticeable. But my problem wasn’t exactly the same.

You might also try turning off ‘two sided’ in the foliage shader.
