Shadow/mesh glitching with nanite active.

Nanite shadows/mesh bug?

I had the weirdest looking jitter on my meshes…

I followed Billy Fouch’s tut on nanite shadows…

But that didn’t work for me

Even in UNLIT mode, I was getting janky, jittery meshes. wtf?
With nanite off, it was all good, but these 132 photoscanned assets were cooking my machine alive.

Turns out, if a mesh is too far away from its PIVOT POINT, you’ll start to see floating point “precision errors” which causes jittering on the MESH itself rather than its shadows. See VrChat World -Floating Point Precision Breakdown - YouTube for a great demo of how this works.

My fix was to go…
modeling mode → pivot → centre → save

I did this on all meshes, and bingo-bango. No more jits.
