Rotating lights; Rotates in counter direction?

When I manually try to position and rotate the light. It rotates in the opposite direction that I think I am rotating it.
Has anyone experienced this? if so how can I fix it?

You can simply reverse directions by making them go in the opposite direction. Simplest way to do this would be to multiply by -1;

float newDir = dir * -1.0f;

Thanks for responding but this isn’t what I meant. I am not talking about animating or setting up a runtime animation. I mean simply when I bring in a light and rotate it into position. I get a counter rotation which is really frustrating when trying to set up lights.
