Root motion problem

Hi,
i hope someone can help me with this before i go totally insane.
I downloaded some animations from mixamo and run them trough blender so i would get a root bone one them. I imported the animations enabled root motion on them and retarget them with a mixamo IK rig, a Ue5 quinn IK rig and the retargeter. I created a anim BP and set “root motion from everything” and a blendspace.
Ive set up root motion in my character blueprint (see picture)

Now for whatever reason the root motion animations are not working at all. The animations are playing but the character wont move with them and i have no idea why that is. 2 days ago i did exactly the same and root motion would work but the animations were slightly off so i deleted everything and reimported the anims created a new blendspace and a anim Bp and now nothing is working anymore.
For 20 hours im trying to fix this mess but i cant figure it out.

Uhm does this even work with root motion driven movement?
Ive set side input and forward input in my character blueprint and i hooked that up to my Anim BP(to the walk/run state or better into the blendspace in my walk/ run state) so this 2 variables drive the animation and the animation controls the movement as far as i know and learned you dont use “add movement input” for root motion (dont get me wrong i could be wrong it has been a few years since i did this the last time).

However i kinda fixed it on my own i had to change a few settings in my IK retargeter i made root to the root bone on both the mannequin and the mixamo skelleton and in the Ik retargeter i had to select the chain mapping for root and set the translation mode to globally scaled.
Now it works kinda the animations play as intendet so if i hold w he will walk forward and use the correct animation it just looks a bit choppy and i have no clue why it looks like after every step the anim snaps a little bit i guess the mixamo animations are not really clean alltho the position of the feet 1. to last frame is the same
