River sound

Hi i have a very long river and I was wondering what’s the best way to have a river sound with it?
do i have to add a big long volume with it?

It really depends on what you mean by a long river.

I have some pretty long stretches of river in some levels and was fine with dotting ambient sound actors along the course.

If you have a VERY large expanse, then it’s probably preferable to do it in blueprint. You could make a spline that creates sound components, or incorporate them into the river, if you wrote the code for that.

Well the river is about half a mile long.
i want to hear the river sound any time getting close to the water. I don’t know anything about splines

I was thinking i could set some points to position the sound?
