Rig Breaks When Playing Animations That Have Been Retargeted From Mixamo


I’m a student currently working on a project where we’re without a “rigger” and so we’re simply retargeting a basic skeleton to Mixamo animations. I’m completely new to the world of retargeting and am struggling to get the animations to not destroy the rig when applied. As seen in the screenshot included, the rig breaks. For some parts of the skeleton, it works perfectly, but others break. I can’t find a pattern, since oddly enough the right and left sides are entirely the same, but one works and the other doesn’t. I’ve checked joint orientation, but it all looks normal. Any pointers or things I could be missing? I am trying to figure out some troubleshooting tips and possible solutions before I try redoing the rig.
