Results of 'Align Images' Changes

I have a question regarding the results of the ‘Align Images’ process.

I have a set containing 551 images which I need to create a three-dimensional model using RealityCapture, however every time I re-align the same set of images, either through a new project or a new image alignment in the current project, the aligned photos are different. That is, for example, on the first alignment image X and image Y are aligned, however on the second alignment, image Y and Z are aligned but image Y is not aligned with image X. Could you tell me the possible reason for these changes?

Also, when I align the same set of images, different components come up, with each component having a different number of aligned images. I don’t know if this is part of the recent update, or because of the set of images I am using.

Thank you in advance!

Edit: By the way, I am new in the three-dimensional modeling field and in using the software.

Can you show us a few of those images?

That would make it easier to tell what needs to be done

There is a certain randomness in this step, yes.
Have you tried to repeat the alignment 2-3 times?
Sometimes RC catches a few strays in the 2nd or 3rd run.

That there are different components is not unusual.
It means that RC does not find enough to get them all together.
There is some advise in the FAQ about that…
