I can’t imagine they’ll make it ‘free for ,’ even remotely soon. That’d be a rather silly move, I think. The subscription price is incredibly low (and, you only need pay it once, if you don’t need the constant updates). It supports Epic and the further development of the engine. If you’re serious about it, take the plunge!
