refraction in 4.22 with raytracing

does anyone know why refraction wouldn’t work in shaders when the engine is set to raytrace mode?
I can’t see any effects from my shaders

I’m trying to get some lensing effects like in this video
but I can’t see any of the results plugging in anything into the refraction port

nevermind I was just being stupid
the quality setting was set to low

I learned
refraction turns off at med to low setting, so high-cinematic it comes back!
