It would be awesome if at least the first-person weapon model could have a real-time cubemap for the best visuals.

Is it possible to code or unreal engine has its limits?

To be accurate you’d need to capture at the point of the gun, where the reflections are going to change drastically depending on the position of the capture.

Honest SSR and reflection probes are fine for weapons. The only thing that could need realtime cubemaps for reflections would be a mirror-like surface. You could get away with a metal/chrome/gold weapon if the roughness wasn’t 0.
