The group that I am working with are all using the student version of Maya because we can’t afford the pro version. I was wondering if we were making our game and obtained a Dev Grant, could we buy Maya and use it to finish the game, in order to sell it? Because the student version doesn’t allow you to merchant your creations, and we would like to place it on steam for free or 99 cents.
well you could possibly convert the models to assets and sell them on the asset store and whatever cash you get from sales you can use to save up for the pro version of Maya.
There unreal engine, i was positive. i am terribly sorry i was aggressive before, i was just keeping your company from being a cat drowning in water and loosing all nine lives in one shot. in other words i was preventing you from loosing profits, and we all know when a company hits $0 they go bankrupt and can no longer continue to be on the market.
