Question about allow negative emissive color in material

Hi all,

I am a beginner at the unreal engine. When I try to set the emissive color, I found that even though the option allow negative emissive color is enabled, the negative value still returns the black color which is the same as 0. What is the meaning of activating allow negative emissive color or what did I do something wrong when setting the emissive color?

Materials allow negative values in many places, rather than throwing an error. It’s just more convenient.

Naturally, a negative emissive, had no meaning.
