Q: Creating border lines on a landscape

Hey everyone. I’m trying to create lines on top of a landscape to show borders of regions. This would be similar to games like EU4 or Total War. I’m not sure of the proper way to go about this. I would like to do this in code, so that i have access to region data easily. EU4 uses a colored regional map which could be a valid way to go about this. If i had the data of where to draw the lines, how would i go about actually drawing them onto the landscape? Decals? Mesh?

Did you ever figure this out? I’m trying to do the same thing and am not really sure how to do it.

Landscape spline tool? Or something similar maybe.

Found this:

-place a mesh on top of it
-use a decal actor
-or use the spline tool (in my opinion the best and easiest way)
-or bake a texture on your landscape (e.g you can export an entire landscape texture from world machine + add those lines)
