Proper way to use decals with megascans?

could be a lot of examples … i only saw one tutorial and no other content
i believe the tutorial is one i shouldnt pay attention to

example is simple, a ROAD

so theres stripe decals but decals dont go into blueprints from what i see
the road is going to be procedural, splines etc

i got the asphalt working laughs …
albedo etc i get most of the difficult concepts

can i bump this ?

i know pipelines are difficult cause of left turns …

but i found that QUIXEL wasnt really working at all though it might have been that day
since it seemed to worked the next day

Im not entirely sure what the issue is with the default Quixel Shader but for us it has a history of breaking so we started building our own. This is fairly simple to do unless you desire to use a form of displacement/POM in which case I would look for such a shader on the marketplace and use it with Quixels Decals.

There are allot of tutorials on youtube which I would recommend. Just search for: Spline Roads, Quixel Decals UE5, Fasttracktutorials decals. If there is a specific problem just drop a comment with actual screenshots and a clear description of what is going wrong. Cheers and have fun.

1 – i think im referring to procedural decals
2 – road striping for instance

the splines the road the materials im fine

i just see that quixel provides line striping and i see nottttthing how to use it

i cant export it to use in blender is about as far as i can get
