Problem with getting the player to bounce away when colliding with a wall

I am making a game similar to the app Arrow, but set in the human circulatory system. I have set it so that the player moves forwards automatically and stops when they hit a wall but can carry on forwards when aiming away from the wall, however I can’t seem to implement a feature where when the player collides with a wall they bounce away from the wall so that they can keep moving forward and turn quickly instead of having to stop and then turn a bit to continue. I have tried using a UE4 tutorial with the ‘Launch Character’ node but that doesn’t have any effect. How could I achieve this?
