possible to import aligned cameras to Photoscan?

Is it possible to import aligned cameras to Photoscan?

Hi Bill
The question is why you need to do it ? For what workflow reason ??
You can export them as a BUNDLE ( NEGATIVE Z ).

Hi Wishgranter,
I know trees are problematic and not always desirable, but sometimes they are. PS handles them differently, not always better, but with different results. PS dense point cloud classification is also useful.

I’m finding that RC excels in speed and also in mesh quality on bare surfaces such as stone walls. Been pretty busy with other things the last few weeks. Need more time to play with RC.

I’ve found that it is good to have more than one tool in the kit, but if I can do everything with one tool, it would benefit the wallet.
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks, will also try with BUNDLE. My reason for wanting to do it is that I had a model where the manifold edges were obscuring parts of my orthophoto. I therefore uploaded the mesh into PhotoScan to edit it (unfortunately don’t have other editing software for meshes that’s very stable) and remove the manifold edges which were doubling over in front of what I needed to have in the orthophoto. I then wanted to re-import the edited mesh into Reality Capture for texture generation, but it doesn’t allow importing of non-manifold meshes.

Hi Tom

In the new, current version of RC you can import even meshes with non-manifold “issues”.

Thanks Wishgranter that’s good news

I’m trying to import cameras into Photoscan using the Bundle (negative-Z) and I get “Can’t import file” error from Photoscan. The reason I want to use Photoscan is because I prefer working on textures there. Its easier to see what it looks like. RC only does vertex colouring. Also, the texture quality looks very bad in RC.
Does anyone know how I can export the cameras into Photoscan?
