Ok so I had a project I basically started over. So deleted it all, made a new one and started importing assets from the Learn Tab and Market Place no problems. Well to save space once I migrated what I needed I would delete the project I migrated stuff from. Everthing was working fine until I added the Xoio Realistic Rendering and the LightRoom assets. They copied with no problem but when I deleted the Xoio Realistic Rendering projecr from my library my project I juat spent a while importing stuff/converting to 4.8 and the LightRoom Project from the Learning tab for 4.8 all deleted. At fist I thought I just clicked the wrong button so I remade it and reimported stuff just used the LightRoom and when I deleted that after migrated it deleted all project in my library beside A Boy and His Kite. Basically anything that used something from it. So Third time I just migrated the Xoio assets and have a few other Learning Place/Market items in my libary I didn’t need that I could keep in the vault and when I deleted the Xoio Realistic Rendering Everything in my Library except A boy and His Kite poof. Before the 4.8.1 hotfix never had this issue. Also it only seems to be those two that seem to have an issue. I don’t know if maybe something with the hotfix messed something up or what though might be sometime to look in to I will make a test Project an see if I can do it for a forth time. Just struck me as odd and last thing I would want is someone to have that happen and possibly the entire game/project is gone cause it doesn’t even show up in the Recyle Bin.
Hi Keiyentai,
To be clear, the items in your Library that caused this problem when you deleted them was the Xoio Realistic Rendering project and the Boy and His Kite demo? Are you certain that the projects were deleted and not simply removed from the Launcher’s Library? Check in your projects’ directory (by default, this in in \Documents\Unreal Projects) and see if the projects are still there or if they were removed from there as well.
Hi Keiyentai,
We haven’t heard back from you yet, so I’m resolving this post for tracking purposes. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please feel free to respond with the information requested above and we can continue investigating.
