Ponytail on Skeletal Mesh is deformed when playing any animation but not deformed on T-pose

I’ve fiddled with the Physics and various collision settings, but it’s to no avail. It seems too convenient that the hair is just above the Root capsule, but it seems odd that ONLY the hair is like this.

I reached out to the animator and he said it works fine on his end, so I’m out of ideas.

Any insight?
