Phys Constrain as hunge return to original position or start in a different position


I’ve been using a physic constraint as a hinge for a trap door. I have it so the door is Simulate Physics(false), then after a time it is True, so the hinge then allows the door to drop open.

I want it to return to it’s original position, but I’m struggling to do this - I tired by rotating my “door” mesh back to 0 but that went crazy and seemed to ignore the hinge

I would also like to be able to start my trap door open in some places, and then have it shut.

Is it possible to reverse a hinge ? :S
